All the secondary woods are white pine, all the drawers bases are hand chamfered to the underside, the drawers and case are all dovetailed, the original back boards are also local white pine, with original old hand-forged "rose-head" iron nails. Replaced brass handles and escutcheons, but with period old 'bat-wing' brass, the highboy has been historically refinished in the late 19th century and has just lovingly received a coat of wax polish in Bloomsbury's professional workshops. All the drawers run smoothly, this is a genuine late 1700s New England highboy, ready to grace your space and provide another 235 years of use.
