Lillian August Massive Indonesian Hand-Carved Teak Entertainment Armoire Cabinet A well-crafted, hand-carved cabinet created in Indonesia during the early 20th century. This massively-sized cabinet, made from a dark teak wood, features a bevelled cornice above two intricately carved and iron-striped doors, which open to reveal two shelves and two drawers, with two additional drawers beneath the colossal doors. A double-hinged arrangement lets the doors open easily and flush against the outside of the cabinet (as illustrated in the 7th photo). The cabinet offers ample storage possibilities as an entertainment center, wardrobe or bar cabinet. This cabinet has the traditional hallmarks that make Indonesian furniture so highly desired: it is sturdy and durable with a rich, dark patina and gorgeous, artistic designs that were hand-carved for posterity.
