This version 1 Mille Armoireclothes unit from thePendulumseries was inspired by a sweet memory from childhoodthe character of Madame Wardrobe from the Disney adaptation of the Beauty and the Beastfairy talealso called Mademoiselle Armoire. She was the enchanted cabinet in Belle's room, who had once been an opera singer. Pendulum'sMille Armoire[v1] is built much lighter andairierthan its singing relative from the fairy tale. The piece comprises a practical clothing rail measuring 35 by 80 cm, a shelf surface measuring 60 by 25 cm, and two drawers in different sizes for accessories; one drawer of 25 by 25 by 8 cm (LDH), and one drawer of 25 by 25 by 24 cm.The series works with components, allowing the building of numberless other configurations. The free hanging clothing rail frame is in solid birch and oiled to a bright finish, measuring 35 by 80 cm. The flat surface, covered in 2mm thick soft linoleum on the top and bottom, is in solid birch as standard, also oiled bright. The drawers are in solid birch as standard, oiled bright, and fixed underneath the desktop, perfect for keys, hoods, scarves, and similar clothing items.The drawer underside is of the same linoleum color as the flat surface.The ropes holding the components in place are pre-knotted by hand (every 5 cm) and are very robust, designed in order to pull them through any drill holes of choice. The rack holderis in stainless steel as standard; one simply clamps them on top of a knot so as to place a rack or another part on that position. The anchor platesare alsoinstainless steel as standard, ; one simply hangs them onto the wall hook. The ropes will start from the anchor plate itself.
