Antique wedding cabinet dating from around 1750, originating from Franconia, southern Germany. Its heavy, lived-in character and original paintings give it an incredible appearance. Both the design of the cabinet and the paintings are authentic and typical examples of folk art from the region. The cabinet is richly decorated with unusual marbled motifs in exceptional shades of red, yellow, and blue. The panels are decorated with atmospheric landscapes, executed in a primitive style. The cabinet has been professionally inspected and restored, with an eye for originality and character. Minor restorations have been carried out, particularly on the legs. The construction is solid, the painting is worn but preserved, and the patina has been left intact. The layout consists of three small shelves on the left and a rod in the middle. The cabinet has a lock that was added later, which works well and allows the cabinet to be locked. Wedding cabinets like this are rarely found. The age, patina, and the way this cabinet has been painted make it an exclusive piece of furniture. 185 cm high, 143 cm wide, 62 cm deep.
