Gracious Style
Surrounded by water, Bristol, Rhode Island is quintessential New England: rife with history, beauty and graceful strength. The Northeast Islander-inspired handblown glassware of the Bristol Collection represents the intersection of water and sky. Angular and sophisticated, the collection’s divine proportions call to mind the Golden Ratio, a mysterious relationship between geometry and beauty, found in the conch shells off the shores of Bristol. At Simon Pearce, fine glassware is still hand-blown in the traditional style. Simon Pearce opened his first glassblowing shop in 1971 in Kilkenny, Ireland. Ten years later, the factory was moved to Quechee, Vermont, where it remains today. The Ottauquechee River provides clean, hydroelectric power for the facility. All Simon Pearce items are proudly made in the U.S.A.
