According to legend, Minos, king of Crete, decided to design a sophisticated labyrinth in which to eternally imprison his stepson, the fearsome Minotaur. To do this, he sought help from Daedalus, an architect and inventor renowned throughout Greece for his skill. Upon completion, however, Daedalus was locked in the labyrinth along with his son Icarus by Minos himself, who did not want to risk his creator revealing the plan to anyone. To escape, the genius constructed two pairs of wings made of feathers and wax. But the flight of freedom, as legend has it, cost his son dearly, who, flying too close to the sun, melted his wings and fell to his death. Ingenuity and imagination: this is how the globe bar was born, from the long experience of Italo Zoffoli, who had been working with wood for many years, producing exquisite hand-painted globes, and from a sudden idea that came to him in a flash while sipping a glass of wine. from that day on, creativity and knowledge have become Zoffoli's hallmark, and he decided to honor these two qualities by naming one of his most beautiful globes after the Greek hero. Dedalo is a timeless globe, as eternal as the history of man, his qualities, and those legends with morals we will never learn. It has the allure of myth and antiquity: the map is a replica of an ancient 16th-century cartography; within the sphere, extraordinary mythological characters look out over the interior decorations. The sphere rotates completely around its meridian, whether open or closed. Have you already decided what to sip? A whiskey or a fine rum? A brandy or a bourbon? The compartment can hold up to four bottles and twelve glasses: ideal for enjoying a glass alone, letting your imagination run wild, or sharing your next project with friends and colleagues. Additional bottles can be placed on the lower base, unique in its rectangular shape with detailed curves. Dedalo is the emblem of those who feel the sacred fire of creativity within: those who know they must pursue it to the very end, no matter the cost.
