Danish Hepplewhite Mahogany Serving Trolley by Farre Møbelfabrik, 1970s. Elegant serving cart with glass top in solid and veneered mahogany. Two tier trolley with four round fluted legs with brass casters. Top is fitted with inlaid glass. Many beautiful details and carvings. Very suitable as a food trolley, bar cart, tea serving table or simply as display shelves. This cart shows a very high level of craftsmanship and quality. Made by Farre Møbelfabrik, also known as Jensen Farre, in Denmark in the 1970s. Farre Møbelfabrik was known as one of the finest manufacturers of classical furniture pieces. They employed only the best craftsmen and their apprentices often won medals at the apprentice tests. It was a very coveted workplace where every employ took great pride in their work. As a result Farre Møbelfabrik produced some of the finest pieces of furniture in Denmark through the 1900s. Especially their Hepplewhite Revival series become very popular from the 1950s and on. This piece was manufactured in the 1970s and the last photo is from an add from the same period. Very good original condition with only light patina consistent with age and use. Few small nicks and scratches. One veneer repair on the lower shelf.
