Set of two original c. 1950's vintage American industrial telescoping "Adjustrite" enameled steel factory stool with a maple plywood saddle swiveling seat and back. Adjustable from a seat height of 23.5" to 30". The stools consist of two movable members combined or overlapping for telescopic movement, with one of the members secured to the seat of the stool and other member secured to the legs and/or base of the stool - they lock the seat at various selected positions. The bent tubular steel legs are reinforced by the original welded joint circular footrest measuring 15" wide and ten inch tall footrest. Natural wear and tear left untouched to preserve the chair's aged surface patina. Seat measures 15.5" wide and 14.25" deep. Fabricated by the Adjusto Equipment Co., Bowling Green, OH. The first incarnation of these chairs was designed and patented in the early 1940's. The adjustable tilting backrest is made of folded and pressed steel and is supported by two solid steel brackets (rods).
