A rare and important Antique Industrial Design Stool, that pivots in all directions and adjusts the height from 24 inches to 32 inches, with a 12 inch diameter seat. Circa 1930's. This antique stool was purchased from Blackman Cruz, Los Angeles many years ago. The base is heavy steel and iron and the original upholstered seat is a rich aged leather in a "catchers mitt" brown color. Designed and patented by Charles MeitzlerIt and retains the metal label Ritter Manufacturing Company, Rochester New York.
