The Argus Bar / Counter Stool from Sunpan takes its cues from the director’s chair, reinterpreted in a midcentury modern idiom with a sling-style seat and back suspended within an exposed wooden frame. Stitched leather side panels add an artisanal quality to the clean profile, and brushed gold metal accents appear at the footrest and throughout the frame. The nubuck leather upholstery is naturally water-resistant, and because both leather and oak are natural materials, each stool carries its own variation in grain, tone, and surface character.
