Bringing an industrial slant to his stool, British designer Tom Dixon recasts the 3-legged classic in pared-down form with Slab. Offsetting the natural character of oak wood, he extends the workshop allusion with the juxtaposition of a cast-iron footrest. In either natural or black lacquered finish, the wood surface is deeply brushed to expose nature's own unique patterning in each piece's distinctive wood grain.
