A design classic from the Finnish manufacturer Artek, based on a design by Alvar Aalto from the 1930s. Functional high chairs or bar stools for high tables or bar counters. These icons of Scandinavian design are hard to beat in their simplicity and functionality. Like all pieces in Artek's L-Leg collection, these chairs feature classic Aalto details such as the curved legs and the distinctive shape of the backrest. The contoured backrest is just high enough to provide sufficient support. A bar between the front legs serves as a footrest. The materials are based on birch in various finishes, from solid birch to birch veneer to molded birch plywood. The high chairs are in very good condition with signs of wear and patina.
