French Art Deco Bleached Oak Washstand An attractive and good-sized washstand originating from the Basque region of South West France. In solid bleached oak the washstand features an inset variegated marble top and surround. It is unusual to find marble of this colour. To each side are matching towel rails and under the top is a pair of full-depth drawers constructed traditionally with dovetail joints and providing ample storage. The drawer pulls are made of solid aluminium and are decorated with geometric patterns. The frieze below the drawers is shaped with a floral central motif. The crisply turned front legs lead down to a recessed shelf below. This classic piece is presented in very good condition. The jug and bowl are not included.
