A very rare gold gilded canopy believed for a Santos religious statue. Canopy is made of wood, covered with gesso and gold gilded. Canopy had two large iron spikes on top believed for adding adornment. Intact for its age with some gilding loss. The underside is painted a medium blue as customary with religious statues. Measures 20” wide, 18” high and extends 13” from wall; see photos for condition. Can also be used as a bed canopy. BM#1100 477/E2074
