Art Deco style double bed, circa 1930, in mahogany veneer with pronounced grain, designed for a 200 x 180 cm mattress. The headboard features a stepped design characteristic of the period, crowned with a semicircular arch. It incorporates a sandblasted glass panel engraved with a stylized peacock with radiating feathers and a central circular medallion, reflecting the Art Deco decorative vocabulary. The bedside tables consist of four cylindrical elements in glossy black lacquer, two per side, contrasting with the mahogany veneer. The footboard and the lowered platform with rounded corners are decorated with chevron marquetry. The entire bed rests on a stepped base with rounded corners. Workshop report: some scratches and crazing in the varnish throughout the structure; refinishing of the varnish is recommended. The veneer and black lacquer are undamaged, as noted by the seller.
