This unusual late 18th Century, circa 1790, French Banc De Chimney/Fire Place Bench features a scrolling top rail, is resting on four block feet with pegged construction. The arms, curved halfway, end in scrolls while a long carved apron joins both front legs, giving it the appearance of a chest. The high planked seat presents notches and irregularities that adding even more charm to the piece.
