A wonderful antique ladderback settee, made in England, and dating from around the 1820-1850 period. It is of superb quality and has a lovely country house design. The frame is beautifully constructed, with a beautifully pierced back and amazing turned stretchers on the base. We have had the frame re-polished, the seat has been re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent for its age, with just some extremely minor wear remaining here and there.
