The "Volcano" finish involves a special charring process that gives the wood a dark, textured appearance reminiscent of volcanic rock. This finish enhances the wood's natural grain and creates a striking, tactile surface.To protect and maintain the volcano cedar finish follow the instructions provided with the maintenance kit. Apply natural scented oils or waxes every six months using the provided wax. After waxing, avoid placing cushions or sitting on the surface with light-colored clothing, as friction may cause slight color transfer. Promptly dab any spills with absorbent paper—do not rub. Hot liquids and strong detergents may permanently damage the surface. Dispose of wax-covered clothes following the maintenance kit instructions.Solid cedar wood naturally expands, contracts, and forms cracks or splits over time. These are expected and do not qualify as defects. The Vulcano finish process may cause additional cracks, revealing pale yellow tones of untreated cedar beneath. This is a normal reaction and does not affect the wood’s integrity. Cracks or indentations can be touched up using the special brush and black color included in the maintenance kit.This product is NOT intended for outdoor use. Exposure to outdoor elements may lead to significant cracking, fading, and damage, which will not be considered grounds for complaints or claims.
