A rare and outstanding Art Nouveau style settle sofa or bench Designed by Eliel Saarinen in 1929 Produced by Adelta Oy Finland, 1980s Painted solid birch wood frame, with sawtooth cutouts, and upholstered seat cushion. Measures: 49.25"W x 22"D x 29.75"H. Seat height: 19.75". Arm height: 29.5". Very good original vintage condition. This outstanding bench was designed by Finnish-American architect Eliel Saarinen for the study of his wife Loja at Cranbrook in 1929 and reissued by Adelta Oy circa 1987 in Finland.
