The Ishinomaki stacking bench is a minimalist wooden bench created by the Japanese brand Ishinomaki Laboratory in the spirit of DIY design. Originally developed for the Blue Bottle Coffee Shibuya café in Tokyo, the bench was carefully dimensioned: its width was tailored to fit the café’s trays, while its structure emphasizes lightness, compactness and stackability. Easy to stack and store, the Ishinomaki bench is equally well suited to cafés, home interiors and outdoor terraces. The Ishinomaki collection, designed by Keiji Ashizawa, is made from locally sourced hardwood, ensuring both durability and suitability for contract use. The simple benches and stools are characterized by their natural wood grain and finished with a laminated surface, making them resilient enough for outdoor use as well.
