Large Solid Oak Bench with Mitred Backsplash decorated with a row of five projecting panels with lightly molded edges. The solid sides of this seat, forming armrests, are also paneled. At the front, two uprights with rounded tops materialize the location of the hands, and recall the composition of the backrest. The seat, which will be able to accommodate up to four people, is deep and overhangs a wide Oak crossbar. This seat rests on four straight legs, although those of the front are very slightly hollowed out. The visible mortises reinforce the Authenticity of this Quadricentennial Bench, which will find its place in the Rustic environment of a Property or a Castle at the height of its immoderation. One can choose - or not - to add Cushions to this Seat, thus bringing Comfort and Warmth without distorting the whole. ******** Period : XVIIth Perfect condition after restoration in our workshop.
