This handsome pig bench has a two board top, over five feet long and almost three inches thick. The boards are pulled together with bolts that pass all the way through both boards.. The oak legs are over two inches square, with a spoke-shaved chamfer for most of their length, and are fully mortised through the underside of the top, splayed for stability. The top is fairly uniformly distressed after decades of relatively light use. At one end the edge slopes away where some kind of repetitive task has taken place.
