The top of this oak pig bench is a single slab of oak almost 4” thick and it still retains the rounded underside of the log from which it was hewn. It is criss-crossed, chopped and gnarled and even cupped a little through decades of purposeful use. The rough-hewn hexagonal legs are mortised directly into the table top at a splayed angle for stability.
