The Overlap Outdoor Bench from Fritz Hansen is a weightless silhouette, surprising with a durable, anchoring composition of layered steel. Designer TAF Architects brings a collaborative approach to design. Here, the studio sees a collaboration between rustic wood and industrial steel. The powder-coated steel is bent into angular segments and arranged together to create a strong base. The smooth finish of the steel accentuates the various natural tones of the wooden planks above. Developing a patina over time, the wood seats one comfortable with minimal upkeep needed.
