The top rail of this pretty bench is boldly scalloped and with the other backboards frames a single long rectangular panel. The legs are notched to give a cabriole effect and end with a simplified Louis XV foot. The integral armrests curve into an attractive scroll and contain three plain spindles each end. The bench is finished in lilac paint, rubbed through in parts to earlier blue and green.
