This large heavy cast iron bench was a staple for any important formal Victorian garden. Features include three back panels each with a different gardener posed with a specific task. The sides and graceful legs are heavily scrolled and fanciful flowers are scattered throughout. The slatted pine seat has been replaced for stability. In the mid 1900s these were taken apart and recast so there are reproductions in various sizes in lighter weights.
