The iconic Andy Warhol Index book with all it’s details included. A few pages are unattached but fully included and in good condition. Record is not attached but it doesn’t seem to have been played. First edition (stated first printing) hardcover with silver lettered spine and lenticular overlay on front cover, published by Random House in 1967. Iconic Pop Art artist's book created by Warhol (contributors: Stephen Shore, Paul Morrissey, Ondine, Nico, Christopher Cerf, Alan Rinzler, Gerald Harrison, Akihito Shirakawa and David Paul). Monochromatic illustrations throughout including photos by Nat Finkelstein and Billy Name. Photographic polyhedron and the Lou Reed flexi-dis are present, although the disk has been separated from original attachment. Disk looks unused. The balloon/condom has fused between pages, as is common, with some browning to adjacent pages. All other elements are present and in good form, viz: pop-up castle; paper accordion; pop-up bi-plane; Chelsea Girls paper disc with spring; colorful nose fold-out; Hunt s Tomato can pop up; and three detachable Warhol tabs with three blank tabs.
