Vintage Plaza Hotel, NYC "The Plaza Resturant" Luncheon Menu. This menu, dated Saturday, February 2, 1952, is in very good condition, complete with ribbon & tassel. Note condition in photos ~ ephemera isn't my area of expertise, so please reach out if you have any questions on the condition. The cover etching is by Kent Wetherill ~ possibly Elisha Kent Kane Wetherill who was a Brooklyn artist known for his etchings. The beautiful etching is of the classic NYC horse carriages outside of the Plaza Hotel on the corner of Central Park. While The Plaza Hotel needs no introduction, here is an intro per The Plaza Hotel website: "For over 100 years, The Plaza has been the New York hotel to see and be seen. Kings, presidents, and stars of stage and screen have all gathered and stayed at The Plaza. The most lavish social affairs, as well as classic Hollywood films have all used the legendary hotel as their setting." One of my favorite movies, A Star is Born, was filmed at The Plaza . . . as was North by Northwest . . . and others.
