Fine 18th century Georgian mahogany breakfront bookcase on a plinth base with linen slides in the base and lined interior seem behind the glazed doors of the top. Warm color with highly figured panels. Interior lighting has been added when the silk lining was installed. We purchased this piece only 5 months ago and have decided to go a different route with our living room and add a fire place to this area. That is the only reason we are not keeping it. Removable fabric has been placed in the case you do not want to see what it holds, which for us is china and silver at the time. Style: Georgian (Of the Period) Materials and Techniques: Mahogany Place of Origin: England Period: 18th Century Date of Manufacture: 1780-1800
