Freestanding bookcase designed by Alain Delon Elegant floor-standing shelving unit with a rectangular base in black lacquered wood and brass details. Featuring 11 smoked glass shelves divided into three columns, the central one being the widest. Designed in the 1980s by French actor Alain Delon. Alain Delon was one of the greatest sex symbols of his era. In the early 1970s, he combined his acting career with that of a designer. In 1975, he exhibited at the Salone del Mobile in Milan with his line of furniture produced by Vittorio Sabot. The actor stated that if he hadn't been an actor, he would have wanted to be an architect. The bookcase is in excellent condition; it has no structural defects, but it does have minor signs of aging, visible in photos. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
