White lacquered metal frame with teak shelves and storage unit. Scandinavian production from the 1960s. Freestanding modular bookcase, Scandinavian-made, featuring white lacquered metal uprights, adjustable teak shelves, and a storage unit with sliding doors. Lightweight metal grid structures, popular in postwar Nordic design, arose from the need to create versatile, easily reconfigurable furniture suited to modern domestic spaces. The combination of geometric linearity and warm wood surfaces recalls the essential language of Scandinavian Modernism of the 1950s and 1960s. Good condition. May show signs of aging.
