The bureau bookcase was a staple of any fine library or study, it you know your Georgian paintings you will see many a great man toiling away at one of these This piece is quite special as its very original, it has a wonderfully detailed Thomas Chippendale style carving around the borders of the doors. The timber is of course oak and it has the correct period patina Condition wise, we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom.
