This Danish teak bookcase is a rare design by Willy Beck for Morten Olsen, and it has a great combination of open display and closed storage. The tall upper section is fitted with open shelves for books, ceramics, art objects, or display, while the lower cabinet has vertical tambour doors that add texture and movement without interrupting the clean lines. The proportions are especially strong. It has the height and presence of a bookcase, but the tambour door cabinet below makes it more useful than a simple shelving unit.
