Important Venetian bookcase from the early decades of the 19th century, made entirely of solid walnut. The solid and well-proportioned structure features a distinctive "bridge" configuration, with an elegant central arch framed by two glazed side bodies. The balanced and harmonious furniture architecture is embellished with sober lines of neoclassical taste and fine construction details, visible both in the woodwork and in the arrangement of compartments. The two glass side doors, punctuated by interior shelves, are developed above a lower body enclosed by doors and drawers. The lower central part creates a dramatic niche topped by a framed arch, with smooth paneling at the bottom and useful space for display or decorative furniture. The warm patina of walnut, with its natural grain, helps give the furniture an authentic and understated character.
