The Innocent project is inspired by the industrial systems of metal joints and pipes, and emphasizes the relationship between the simplicity of shapes and Mingardo’s craftsmanship excellence. The Innocent modular system consists of shelving tops in black painted oak, connected by a tubular black-colored structure. The system allows the creation of different furnishing elements, from low tables to consoles to bookcases of various heights.Mingardo Ilario founded Mingardo Blacksmith Workshop in 1970, after over twenty years’ experience in the metal processing field.The production was initially focused on simple blacksmith works for the construction industry. Over the time, it has become more refined, enabling the company to collaborate with internationally renowned companies and architects: from the first collaborations with architect Carlo Scarpa to the more recent commissions for Museo del Novecento in Milan, Parco della Musica in Florence, and Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari.Over the years, the Workshop has achieved great results, with the production of unique metal products, all hand-wrought by a highly skilled team of specialized artisans. Nowadays, it is highly regarded in the local artisan field for its high-end refined finishing touches and details, and for its know-how.
