This large exquisite 1840's solid oak cupboard is simply amazing. A true conversation piece and is excellent condition for its age. The piece features plank back and top, scalloped shelves a top wine glass shelf and old wavy glass in the shaped front doors. With the original hardware and working locks and keys. Beautiful scroll work on the lower sides and doors all situated on lovely bun feet. The two upper doors and lower doors lock and the beauty has two drawers for storing silver and serving pieces. A true work of art great for storing and serving your glass, silver and china or as a backboard for your bar or entertaining area. There is a sticker attached on the backside of the cupboard noting Bergisch Germany so the cupboard was either made in Germany or was shipped to Germany. It appears to be either Dutch or German in design and construction. It breaks down in two pieces to ease with moving and shipping. Noted in photos the only blemish is on the inside of the upper cabinet as some point the shelf brackets were moved on one of the shelves and it left a lighter color finish mark where the bracket was moved.
