A tall French carved and painted wood storage cabinet from the 18th century. This antique buffet à deux-corps from France, standing approximately 7.5 feet tall, features a subtly arched and molded center top pediment, on upper case which houses a pair of decoratively paneled cabinet doors with scrolling accent carvings, resting atop a lower cabinet which also houses a pair of beautifully adorned paneled doors. The skirt is carved along the front, with sides having a clean/linear line. This piece is presented upon four squared legs. This French buffet à deux-corps cabinet (which literally translates to “buffet with two bodies”) breaks down into two pieces, allowing for easier transport and installation. This piece has a sweetly-muddled wash of taupe, cream and tan with darker areas highlighting the various accent details. This 18th century French cabinet is quite versatile, and would function as a lovely storage piece for just about any room of your home!
