This antique buffet from Italy features a shapely front with bowed mid section flanked within curvy recessed sides, with a slightly overhanging top which mimics the shape beneath. The case houses two doors at front, which opens to reveal a shelf for storage within. The cabinet is painted and trimmed with four panels, each featuring rococo style accents along their inner framed portions. Center panels have a male figure and female figure (each within their own panel) seated with umbrella raised above their head. A scrolling acanthus leaf and foliage motif are painted to adorn the skirting. This piece is raised nicely upon bracketed feet. The primary coloring of the cabinet is teal and tan.
