Antique Louis Philippe buffet cabinet, made circa 1850-1860 This type of buffet was used as the centrepiece of a room. It was used to store tableware in the lower part of the cabinet and to display the finest specimens on the upper shelves. In the 19th century, tableware was one way of showing off one's standard of living. Good patina. Good antique condition.
