A statement piece for a dining room or foyer, this 20th century Louis XVI style enfilade speaks of refined taste and luxury, marked NF Ameublements after winning of a gold medal for quality French design. The beige marble slab conforms to the breakfront that hangs over the middle section before sloping back toward the wall, the stone traced with abstract veining of gray ribbons. Note that there is a break on the rear left corner, see the image gallery for more information. Three rectangular drawers in the center are lined in felt material with various folds and slots to organize a collection of silverware. They are separated by gilt bronze appliques of foliate design over fluted pilasters in between the lower cabinet doors and all drawers use gilt bronze laurel wreath ring pulls. Surprisingly, the curved left and right corners aren’t fixed but fully functioning drawers as well, sliding out at a 45 degree angle to the case. In the main body, five doors with stunning bookmatched mahogany veneer enclose the various storage compartments: quarter-round cabinets to the sides offering two shelves each, a wide cabinet behind the left and middle doors with two shelves, and narrow cabinet to the right with one shelf. Fluted, tapered feet with bronze appliques and sabots elevate the piece from the floor giving it a sense of lightness in spite of the grand scale. Cleaned and tightened, this vintage buffet is ready for your interior. Please view the detailed images. Dimensions: 40 ½” H x 98 ¾” W x 21 ⅝” D
