A louis xv period two-part low buffet in walnut. this charming louis xv period low buffet dates from the 18th century. The front features two drawers in the frieze, adorned with their original keyhole escutcheons and iron drawer pulls, above two molded doors with elegant scalloped panels. The doors retain their original long iron keyhole escutcheons, also known as lace-shaped hinges. the frame around the doors is made of oak, a technique used to provide rigidity to the entire buffet. the uprights are decorated with fluting and projecting moldings. The lower rail, richly carved with foliate motifs, rests on cabriole legs characteristic of the louis xv period. the top has a beautiful antique patina, and the whole piece has a warm honey hue that highlights the walnut grain. this piece has retained all its character with its original hardware and patina.
