George III Tilt-top Pedestal Birdcage Mechanism Tea Table, circa 1770. Well figured, single board mahogany top (with some discolorations from use). Birdcage mechanism at the top of the pedesal allows the top to rotate. Swell, turned upright shaft over ring turnings to three shaped pad foot legs. Initials on top of the pedestal base, perhaps the line of succession for the table through the family? 29.25" dia., 28 1/8" h.
