English style, solid walnut tripod tea table with pad feet and an elegantly turned central column. Circa 1790. The shellac finish is perfectly aged with a very mellow, rich patina. The birdcage mechanism consists of four turned balusters, a wedge that allows for the top to be removed, and a stabilizer ring. An older patch at the top makes for a charming detail.
