DANDY TOTEM and CANDLE HOLDER designed by Marcel Wanders is a composition of volumes in Trani stone whose geometry recalls the Trulli of Alberobello, a typical building in Puglia.‎ Like a panorama of Alberobello, in Apulia, the collection of five DANDY CANDLE HOLDERS and DANDY TOTEM resemble the skyline of this town, reproducing different geometries and shapes of the rooftops, a typical construction that is unique to the area.‎TECHNICAL DETAILS- They are made of Trani stone; a local stone that is cut by a waterjet machine and hand finished for precision- DANDY CANDLE HOLDERS are available in 5 different shapes.‎ DANDY TOTEM is a modular item; 50 cm high and it is composed by 5 pieces, each of which has a different function: small box with lid, vase, candle holder, paper weight COLLECTION & MATERIALSTrani stone is one of the varieties of marble and stone from Apulia.‎ Thanks to the special physical-mechanical properties of this stone, combined with a pleasing variety of tones, the stone has been used since ancient times.‎ The irregularity and intensity of the veins give the uniqueness to this stone.‎ Trani Stone is widely used in interiors and exteriors for the realization of architectural elements and features.‎ It is the most common material used for the façade of Trani Cathedral.‎
