Set of 2 steel between candle holders by Radu AbrahamMaterials: steelDimensions: D 6 x H 10 cm2 Piece candle holder; can be used with multiple types of candles or with standard candle pill; if detached from each other, each element can be used as a small candle holder.Steel looking for the lightA series of candle holders made out of raw, solid steel, that was chemically treated in order to reach the black color. Each object is made out of detachable and interchangeable elements, that offer the possibility of multiple compositions in which to be used, with more than one type of candle, as well as the possibility to use it as 2 or 3 different smaller candle holders.Inspired by geometrical shapes and ratios, with simple lines and a clean composition, I am always looking for ways to experiment with the objects I’m creating, through different contrasts, by color or by associating various materials with different properties. In my design approach I am interested in exploring craft, this being part of my signature.All of the designs have been made personally in a small workshop equipped with woodworking and metalworking machines. Looking back at my work, I have recently realised that over the years I have developed a way of thinking objects, where all the elements compounding one, are being put together through mechanical systems of fixation or various jointing.
