Crafted from ceramic in the traditional Oaxacan style known as barro negro, this taper candleholder is delightful. A sleeping cherub rests against the candlestick, which is designed and crafted by Fernando and Magali Pedro in Mexico. The unique dark color and slightly metallic sheen of barro negro are obtained by polishing the clay's surface with a quartz stone before the piece is fired in the kiln.
