The process begins in Astier’s historic Paris workshop, where this dish is handcrafted the old-fashioned way by shaping black terracotta clay from the Paris Basin into handcarved plaster molds — a slow-paced, traditional process that gives each piece its own unique character. Once coated in the brand’s signature milky white glaze, this miniature bowl is finished with a vintage illustration of a single diamond ring, sourced from Derian’s expansive collection of antique images.
