Artek's Siena pouch features a beautiful graphic pattern, designed by Alvar Aalto in 1954. The pouch is made of strong canvas cotton fabric and has a zipper opening. The name Siena refers to the Italian city Alvar Aalto adored. Aalto is said to have found inspiration for the pattern from the marble tile walls of the medieval cathedral of Piazza del Duomo. The colors of the Siena collection have been picked from Aalto’s color and material world, which ranges from black and white to natural hues of brick, marble and wood.
