The piece is constructed from two carved alabaster elements that, once joined, complete the circle while preserving the rock's original outer crust.The alabaster surfaces evoke a fossilized moon shaped by erosion and the passage of time. Their natural veins and textures recall a petrified landscape, a remnant of a vanished world. The mirror introduces reflection as a temporal gesture: it not only returns the viewer's image, but reminds us that every present moment is already becoming memory.Based in the Pyrenees, Amarist Studio works from a context closely connected to stone, territory, and slow natural dynamics.
