Bauhaus Adjustable Ceiling Light In Brass And Glass From Otto Mueller, 1930s

Chairish

$3,295

A rare and highly collectible adjustable ceiling light designed by otto mueller and produced by sistrach licht gmbh in germany during the 1930s. This exceptional piece reflects strong bauhaus principles, combining clean industrial lines with functional innovation. The lamp features a distinctive opaline glass shade with a subtle turquoise hue, complemented by a refined brass and chrome-plated structure. The adjustable mechanism allows the height to vary significantly, offering both visual flexibility and practical usability. A remarkable example of early modernist lighting design, ideal for collectors and design-focused interiors. The lamp has been carefully refurbished and rewired to meet modern standards. Minor signs of age remain on the metal surfaces, consistent with its vintage authenticity. Fully compatible with us electrical systems. Dimensions: height: 119–191 cm (46.9–75.2 in) width: 51 cm (20.1 in) depth: 43 cm (16.9 in) condition: carefully refurbished, light wear consistent with age. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, up to 250v (europe/uk standard).the wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
